Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium describes a population that is not evolving, and it requires no selection, no mutation, no migration, random mating, and a large population. A population that departs from the predicted frequencies is therefore evolving in some respect.

It works as a null model. Because a population meeting all five conditions would not evolve, any departure from the prediction identifies that some evolutionary process is acting, which is what makes it worth testing against.

Not as the exam means it. The scored mode produces multiple-choice questions, and on a paid plan the written-recall mode asks you to type an answer into an empty box with no options to choose from. That second mode is closer to free response in one important respect, because producing an answer from nothing is a much harder test than recognising one, and it is graded against your source material rather than against a rubric. What it cannot do is apply the official scoring guidelines, award points against a rubric, or tell you whether your answer would have earned the mark for justification. For that, released free-response questions and their published scoring guidelines are the only real practice, and your teacher's feedback on them is worth more than any tool here.
Teacher notes first, for a reason that is easy to underestimate: your teacher writes your unit tests, so their emphasis, their examples, and their preferred phrasings are the best available signal about what you will actually be asked during the year. A review book is written against the national course description and knows nothing about your class. Where the review book wins is close to the exam itself, when the question shifts from what your class covered to what the course as a whole expects, and a unit chapter is a more complete map of that. The approach that works for most people is teacher notes through the year for unit tests, and then review book units all the way through the final month or so before the exam itself.
Not directly, and AP Biology has more of both than most subjects. It reads text only, so a labelled diagram, a phylogenetic tree drawn as a figure, or a graph carries nothing readable and contributes nothing to the questions. What usually rescues this is that the concept behind the figure is also explained in sentences nearby, so uploading the whole page or chapter rather than the figure alone recovers most of the content. Data analysis specifically, meaning reading a graph and drawing a conclusion, is a skill this cannot practise at all, and it is heavily assessed. Released practice questions with their data sets are the right tool for that half of the skill, and this is the right tool for making sure you know the biology the data is actually about.
